A Wonderful Reminder.

First, watch this video. It's short and worth it I swear.

So! I got an extra credit assignment to read this article. Now, I know I'm not planning on getting married any time soon, but for those of us with impulsivity problems... no, I don't know if that's a word or not... anyway. My accounting teacher is just great and had us read this. I never thought I'd actually learn something from an extra credit assignment! I hope you've all already read it, but it's a VERY GOOD IDEA to read it again and learn something new!!

Over and Out.

P.S. Happy 7 month mark!

Conference is the best.

Conference is wonderful. We are privileged to have a prophet on the earth today. Trace recently reminded me that we often forget that Thomas S. Monson has as much authority and communication with God as Moses, Lehi, and other prophets of old. That kind of put things in perspective for me! What a blessing it is to be able to listen to them.
I was asked to go be a part of a "choir" that sings in the free speech zones between Temple Square and the Conference Center. You know, by all the protestors. It was an incredible experience. I had chills for a solid 2 hours and it wasn't even cold outside. =) We just sang wonderful songs to allow a more spiritual atmosphere for those attending conference. Then we got to go to the afternoon session which was simply smashing. A very tiring day for sure though.
My favorite song we sang was this one... the lyrics are just so fitting to my life right now. I have no clue what I'm supposed to do, or what Heavenly Father's plan for me is... but I'm going to let Him show me!

Lead, kindly Light, amid th’encircling gloom, lead Thou me on!
The night is dark, and I am far from home; lead Thou me on!
Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene; one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou shouldst lead me on;
I loved to choose and see my path; but now lead Thou me on!
I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears,
Pride ruled my will. Remember not past years!

So long Thy power hath blest me, sure it still will lead me on.
O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till the night is gone,
And with the morn those angel faces smile, which I
Have loved long since, and lost awhile!

Meantime, along the narrow rugged path, Thyself hast trod,
Lead, Savior, lead me home in childlike faith, home to my God.
To rest forever after earthly strife
In the calm light of everlasting life.
